Effective date: 19 August 2026. This policy was last updated on the date shown.
This policy governs who may purchase from Cosmic Aminos and the terms on which our products may be acquired and used. It forms part of our Terms of Sale and applies to every order.
1. What we sell
Cosmic Aminos supplies laboratory reagents. Our products are not drugs, medicines, foods, beverages, cosmetics, dietary supplements or medical devices. They are not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for any use. They are supplied solely as chemical reagents for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical work by qualified persons.
No product sold by Cosmic Aminos is intended for human or veterinary consumption, administration, application or ingestion, by any route, in any quantity, under any circumstances.
2. Who may purchase
By placing an order you represent and warrant, on your own behalf and on behalf of any organisation you order for, that all of the following are true:
- You are 21 years of age or older.
- You are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a research institution, contract laboratory, analytical laboratory, educational institution or commercial research organisation.
- You possess the technical training and facilities required to handle research chemicals safely, and you will handle, store and dispose of the products in accordance with your own standard operating procedures and all applicable law.
- You are acquiring the products exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research and for no other purpose.
- You are ordering for delivery to an address in the United States.
- Neither you nor your organisation is barred from purchasing research chemicals under any applicable federal, state or local law.
We may decline or cancel any order, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion and without stating a reason. We may also require additional information about the intended research use, or evidence of institutional affiliation, before accepting an order.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not, and must not permit any other person to:
- Administer, consume, ingest, inject, inhale, apply or otherwise introduce any product into the body of a human being or an animal.
- Supply, resell, gift or otherwise transfer any product to any person for human or veterinary use, or to any person who you know or reasonably suspect intends such use.
- Compound, formulate, repackage or relabel any product for administration to humans or animals.
- Represent, in any medium, that any product is safe or effective for human or veterinary use, or that it may be used to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition.
- Use any product in a manner inconsistent with its Safety Data Sheet, or in a facility lacking appropriate containment and handling controls.
- Export any product outside the United States. We sell to United States addresses only, and onward export is your responsibility and your risk.
4. No use guidance is provided
We do not provide, and will not provide on request, any of the following: dosing information; administration routes; reconstitution, dilution or preparation instructions for administration to a living subject; protocol design; or any guidance on human or veterinary use. Enquiries seeking such information will not be answered, and may result in your account being closed.
Technical information we do provide is limited to chemical identity, structure, specification, physical handling, storage and analytical certification.
5. Documentation we supply
- Certificate of Analysis. Each lot is assayed by an independent United States laboratory. The certificate for the lot you receive is matched to the lot number printed on the vial and is available through our certificate library.
- Safety Data Sheet. An SDS is available for every product on request, and is supplied to downstream users consistent with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200.
6. Your responsibility for compliance
Laws governing the acquisition, possession, handling, storage, transport and disposal of research chemicals vary by state and locality, and change. You are solely responsible for determining whether you may lawfully acquire and use a product in your jurisdiction, and for complying with all applicable requirements. We do not undertake to advise you on those requirements and nothing on this website is a representation that any product may lawfully be acquired or used in any particular place.
7. Age and intended-use gate
Access to this website is conditioned on confirming, through the gate presented on entry, that you are 21 or older and that you are acquiring materials strictly as laboratory reagents for in-vitro research. That confirmation is a contractual representation on which we rely in accepting your order.
8. Product reviews
Where product reviews are enabled, reviews must address the material as a laboratory reagent — for example purity, packaging, labelling, lot documentation, or fulfilment. We publish reviews without regard to whether they are favourable or unfavourable, and we do not solicit, incentivise or condition any review on its sentiment.
We will decline to publish, or will remove, review content that describes human or veterinary consumption or administration, that offers dosing or preparation guidance, or that makes claims about physiological effects. This standard is applied to positive and negative reviews alike, on the basis of subject matter only and never on the basis of the reviewer’s opinion of the product.
9. Breach
Any breach of this policy entitles us to cancel outstanding orders, refuse future orders and close your account. The representations in section 2 are material terms of the contract of sale, and the limitation of liability and indemnity provisions of our Terms of Sale apply.
